Coming off her win at the U.S. Women's Open, Sorenstam still has a long way to go if she is to win her second straight event. Sorenstam took command of her match with Lang by winning four of the first six holes at the Highlands Course at Hamilton Farm Golf Club.

 

Wie and 15th-seed Se Ri Pak went back and forth early on as each women won two of the first six holes. Wie led 1-up around the turn thanks to a birdie on eight. After Pak won the 10th, Wie birdied 11 and 14, both par-fives to go 2- up. Pak cut the deficit to 1-down with a birdie on the 15th, but a bogey on 17 gave Wie a 2 & 1 win.

 

Mi Hyun Kim, the 14th seed, and Ochoa were even through 10 holes, but a birdie on 11 gave the Mexican the lead. Ochoa extended her lead on 14 and closed out a 3 & 2 win as Kim bogeyed the 16th.

Colts give the ‘D’ its due

The Indianapolis Colts know that winning the Super Bowl last season put a huge target on their backs, and they expect opponents to go all-out to knock them from the top of the mountain.
