Flames acquire Delmore from Detroit

03/03/2010 - Calgary, AB (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Calgary Flames acquired defenseman Andy Delmore from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for forward Riley Armstrong.

Delmore has been assigned to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

The 33-year-old Delmore has played in seven NHL seasons, spending most of his time with he Flyers (1998-2001). He has played in 283 career games and has compiled 43 goals and 58 assists, but has been in the AHL for the last four- plus seasons. His last time at the NHL level came during the 2005-06 campaign with Columbus.

Armstrong has 11 goals and eight assists in 38 games for Abbotsford this season.
