TORONTO (AP) -Forward Clarke MacArthur has signed a one-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The team announced the deal with the unrestricted free agent Saturday.

MacArthur had 16 goals and 19 assists last season between the Buffalo Sabres and Atlanta Thrashers, who acquired him on March 3 in exchange for draft picks.

He scored a career-best 17 goals in the 2008-09 season while playing in 71 games for the Sabres.

Stuart skated in 67 games for Calgary's AHL affiliate in Abbotsford last season and registered a career best 36 points with 17 goals. The 28-year-old has 51 games of NHL experience with Atlanta from 2007-09 and has eight goals with five assists during that time. Those totals include four short-handed tallies.

The 25-year-old Ontario native posted one goal and one assist in six games for the Sabres last year. He has collected two goals and three helpers in 16 games over portions of the last three seasons for Buffalo. Mancari has been the leading scorer for the team's AHL affiliate in each of the last three campaigns.

Mancari was a restricted free agent who spent most of last season playing for Portland of the American Hockey League. The 2004 seventh-round draft pick led the Pirates with 74 points (28 goals, 46 assists) in 74 games to finish eighth in AHL scoring.

He also had a goal and assist in six games with the Sabres. That gives him two goals and three assists in 16 NHL career games.
